Frequently Asked Questions

How do I submit or upload a photo to be made into an 'Inked Magazine Cover Photo?'
Select the Upload option in the menu above, then choose your file to upload (being sure to check the box if the item being submitted contains nudity), finally click once (and only once) on the button marked "Upload".

There is an image I want to upload and made into a poster, but when I view it in the gallery, it says "Poster Unavailable for this Cover", why?
This is real easy. In order to provide poster quality (and size) images, the originals uploaded must be at minimal 2 megapixels (most digital cameras are at least 3 megapixels). If you are not sure that the image you are uploading meets the minimum requirements for being available as a poster, you can check by looking at your photo on your computer and multiplying the dimesions of the image. If the resultant total is greater than 2,000,000 the image will be available as a poster after upload and processing.

The photo I want to submit to use for my cover photo contains nudity, is this okay?
Submissions may contain nudity as long as the image is not pornographic in nature. The focus of the cover photo utility and associated gallery is to allow people a simple way to get their photo on the front cover of our magazine. A great way to generate a photo you can use on your blog, website or social network to show your friends or just for yourself as well as showing your support for Inked.

How large may photo submissions be, and are there preferred dimensions?
Photos should be kept to under 90K in size, and while there are no preferred dimensions, 600 x 450 is best for portrait layouts with 450 x 600 being a good guideline for landscape formatted photos. Images may be automatically reformatted for better viewability, though aspect ratios will be preserved.
